What makes us different is that we let the dogs play outside almost all day long with us. Each dog has one on one time with us. If a dog gets outside time at another kennel, it is on a leash only and usually only once or twice a day for about 20 minutes (if that). Our extended play times morning and afternoon allow for your dog(s) to burn up that pent-up energy.

Our vision is to do WHATEVER we need to do to make the dog HAPPY!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Fantana Farm and Kennel has been in business since 2005. Since June of 2021 it has been owned and operated by Grace and Ron Curnutt.

Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Dinner at 4:00 p.m.

After breakfast, the dogs are taken to their own individual outside play yard where, weather permitting, they spend most of their day. In the afternoon, they return to their kennel runs for some dinner and rest. They have inside/outside access until we tuck them in around 8:30.

We have added a second well so we’ll always have water. We have also added a generator, so in the event of a power outage, the kennel will have FULL power. The owner stays on the property.

A week or two is best for most times of the year, but holidays fill up fast! We recommend booking your pets vacation as soon as you book your own!

Your dog(s) need to be immunized for Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Distemper/Parvo. Shots need to be administered by a veterinarian. We need to receive the records from you or the veterinarian at least 24 hours in advance of your dog’s arrival at Fantana. Vaccinations can be emailed to fantana180@gmail.com.

We base playgroups on age, size, and temperament. We will separate dogs if they don’t get along. We also ask the clients for their permission first before we team up the dogs into playgroups.

Absolutely! We have your vets contact information on file and would call them first. If your vet is unavailable, we discuss with you when you drop off your dog(s) what vet we would call if yours is not able to respond to the situation.

Yes, we can administer medications for an additional $3.00 a day; however, we do not administer shots.

Yes, of course. Please let us know when you drop off your dog that you would like that.

We prefer to take male dogs that have been neutered; however, we will make exceptions depending on the age and social skills of the dog.

We always try to clean anything before your dog goes home.
